University of New England Student Activities hosted, 鈥淏ig Blue Bang鈥 in conjunction with Friday鈥檚 ice hockey doubleheader.

Prior to the fireworks show outside, the Nor'easters provided their own fireworks before a record crowd at the Harold Alfond Forum. The women鈥檚 ice hockey team celebrated a 2-1 overtime victory against Nichols College. The men鈥檚 hockey team outscored the University of Southern Maine 7-0 over the final two periods to claim its school-record 11th win of the season.

Each game featured a youth synchronized skating performance at intermission. Following the games, students enjoyed a fireworks show.
