Katy Lowe is from Rochester, NY. She graduated in May of 2020 with a major in neuroscience and minored in applied mathematics and biophysics. During her time at 91ÖÆƬ³§, she worked in the laboratory of Ian Meng, Ph.D., professor of biomedical science, College of Osteopathic Medicine. In the lab, she worked on a collaboration project with the Ganter Lab using a UV injury model to research the role of the BMP pathway in chronic pain and allodynia.

After graduating she plans to work in a neuroscience/research lab before she pursues a graduate degree in neuroscience.

When asked about one unique aspect of working in a lab at 91ÖÆƬ³§, she said, "There are people at all different levels of education at any given time — undergraduates, masters students, Ph.D. students. Everyone works collaboratively in order to get every person’s project in the lab done. There is never just one project going on."
